PrintPeanut Butter Drizzled Brownies
Description
Brownies topped with sugar and a peanut butter drizzle.
Ingredients
½ cup butter
½ cup shortening
2 cups granulated sugar
4 eggs
½ cup water
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
¾ cup cocoa
1 cup flour
½ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup peanut butter, NOT natural
Semi-sweet chocolate chips
¼ cup granulated sugar
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350*.
Grease a 9×13 pan. Melt butter and shortening over low heat. Remove and cool slightly. Add sugar and blend well. Add eggs, one at a time, whisking after each addition. Add water and vanilla and whisk well.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the cocoa, flour, salt, and baking powder; and add to the wet mixture, stirring to blend. Put the peanut butter in the microwave for 10-30 seconds, just until it’s melted enough to drizzle. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan. It seems really low, don’t worry. Drizzle the peanut butter over the brownie batter. Sprinkle with the chocolate chips. Then sprinkle the granulated sugar over the top.
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out with just a few crumbs. Remove and let cool for 15 minutes.
