Cherry Chocolate Almond Blondies
Description
Chocolate, almond, and cherries perfectly combined in my delicious blondie recipe.
Ingredients
1 cup butter, melted
2 cups brown sugar
4 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 teaspoon almond extract
1 teaspoon salt
1 ½ cup + 2 tablespoons flour
1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
1 can dark sweet cherries, drained
1 cup slivered almonds, sprinkled on top with sugar
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and line a 9X13 baking pan with parchment paper.
Combine melted butter and brown sugar in a large bowl, whisking vigorously until smooth. Add the
eggs, one at a time, whisking after each addition. Add the vanilla almond, and salt, stirring well. Sift in
the flour, and stir with a wooden spoon, just until combined. Fold in the chocolate chips and dark sweet
cherries. Pour in the prepared baking pan, sprinkle with almonds and sugar and bake for 25-30 minutes,
or until a toothpick comes out clean. Don’t over bake! These are meant to be gooey!
